Nursery
We believe our nursery is “A Mission Field in Diapers”. Our volunteers are encouraged to love these littlest ones with the love of Jesus. They are encouraged to pray with them, sing to them and play with them. In our nursery we have three rooms: a room for infants from birth to walking, a special room for walkers up to age two, and a quiet room which offers cribs and a quiet place for your child to sleep. Our nursery is adequately supplied with toys and linens that are kept clean and in good repair.
We have a check-in and check-out policy that allows parents to take a moment to talk to the nursery supervisor. Each child is assigned a numbered tag. One tag is also attached to the child’s clothing and one is also for any bag left in the nursery. If a parent is required to assist in the care of their child, their special sign-in number will appear on the LCD screen to the side of the stage in the auditorium. This tag must also be presented to pick-up children as they are signed out.
We encourage parents who are making the use of the nursery to become involved in serving in the nursery. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents, be involved in their child’s development in another environment, and to be a blessing to other parents who are involved in this “Mission Field in Diapers
Preschool
Kid-friendly classrooms are provided for 2, 3, and 4 year-old children during the weekend services. The teaching is centered on God and His Word in order to assist parents in the responsibility of their children’s spiritual development.
There is a welcome sign-in area upstairs where each child has an assigned numbered nametag. Our cheerful hosts assure that parents are aware of what they need to know about where their children will be looked after. The numbered tag received by the parent is required to be brought back to retrieve their child. For the safety of all our children, our volunteers will not return children without it. All preschoolers need to be signed out when they are removed from the classroom. To the side of the stage in the auditorium is a special LCD screen where numbers will be displayed in case of a call to the parents.
Our children are encouraged in the area of giving. A money bowl is provided where children can support the care of a Haitian boy that we are assisting.
We have great volunteers who lead children through a variety of Bible stories so that they will become familiar with a God who loves them. Weekend classroom times also include playtime, crafts and a snack.
We trust that the preschool area will be a place where children find hope, love, safety, comfort, friendships, and most of all a walk with Jesus.
