STOP - Too much of a good thing (Proverbs 25:16)
Know when to stop.
KidWorship! For kids in Gr 4-6. A once a month opportunity for your child to explore what it means to be a worshipper and grow in their musical abilities. In the process, they will discover more of who God is and how He wants them to use their gifts to serve others. Call Amy or Carmen for info or to sign up.
Donations of gently used costumes and toys for our K-Gr 1 classroom would be greatly appreciated. If you have some items we could use, please contact Amy at the church.
Parent Pager is our new system for registering and checking in your children to VAC Kids. When you arrive at church please sign your children in right away. If you haven't yet registered, please stop by the VAC Kids desk and do so!
Family Connect is fun, intentional ideas for family night. It helps to connect the dots between what your children are learning at VAC Kids to a fun family oriented night at home. Pick up a copy at the VAC Kids desk or click HERE to download the Family Connect for this month.
Volunteer Opportunity: We are looking for individuals willing to serve at VAC Kids on Sunday mornings as small group leaders, storytellers and greeters. If interested, please pick up a volunteer pack at the VAC Kids desk or talk to Amy and Carmen for more information.

WHAT IS MY CHILD LEARNING?
Curriculum
Our passion is to see elementary school students eager to discover more about God. We desire that they know that God’s love and relationship with Him is not just for “old people”, but for everyone, regardless of their age, appearance, or past. “We believe as they experience the wonder of God and are drawn into discovering how He touches every aspect of life, then a passionate faith will grow. What could be more satisfying than young students discovering that their true identity rests in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ?”
252 Basics is the curriculum we use to teach and lead children through this discovery process. It is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.
I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each month we teach a virtue or “Big Idea” (such as kindness, generosity, faith, etc.) A virtue is what God does in you to change the world around you. All of these virtues come from God’s amazing character that we should strive to live out in our lives. Each weekend there is a bottom line to go with the monthly virtue that is the learning aim for the lesson; the one thing you want kids to understand from today’s lesson.
WHERE IS MY CHILD LEARNING?
Weekend Ministries
Our weekend environment for elementary-aged kids (Kindergarten – Grade 5) is a place where your child can discover God and His truths through fun, relevant learning, and caring relationships with peers and volunteers. Kids will enjoy engaging music, Bible teaching and small group activities that will help them to experience the wonder of God, and be drawn into discovering how He touches every aspect of their lives and the world around them.
Children will be dismissed from the service and will begin VAC Kids in their small group space (Kindergarten & Grade 1 children in lower hall and Grade 2-5 children in Fellowship Hall) and then come together for large group time in the Hall. From there, children in K-Gr. 1 will return to their small group space downstairs and children in Gr. 2-5 will return to their small group mat. There are small groups for Kindergartens, Gr. 1, Gr. 2/3 girls, Gr. 2/3 boys, Gr. 4/5 girls, Gr. 4/5 boys.
On communion weekends (last weekend of the month) there will be VAC Kids for children in Kindergarten – Grade 3. They will be dismissed from the service and will meet in the lower hall for large group and small group time. Children in Gr. 4 & 5 are encouraged to sit with their families in order to gain understanding of the sacrament of communion and participate in the larger church.
