P.I.E. (Parenting Isn’t Easy)
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Do you want to learn more skills in your role as a parent?
An 8 week parenting course can help. It is a fun group where parents can share ideas about the struggles and successes of parenting. This course is geared towards parents of children up to the age of 6. There are free take-home activities and free children’s storybooks each week. Free child care provided if needed.

ABC’s of Parenting

This is a five week Parent Education Group facilitated in partnership between Vernon Alliance Church and North Okanagan Youth & Family Services Society.
Parents learn how we teach and learn from our kids, approaches to positive discipline, solving common parenting struggles, building positive attitudes and behaviours, and the value of patience and humour. This is an interactive course that helps children ages 7 to 12 identify the significant issues pertaining to them as a result of their parents' divorce. Using group discussion, games, videos, music and snacks, the issues of anger, sadness, guilt and forgiveness are dealt with. DC4K is designed to help children from divorced homes heal in a group setting.
