At VAC Kids, we use a computer sign in & out system called Parent Pager. Parent Pager is a wonderful tool to help maintain safe classrooms and archive attendance of children and volunteers. This is a simple, safe and efficient way to sign in and out your children.
If you haven’t done so before, please ensure that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the service to register your family at the VAC Kids desk located in the Fellowship Hall foyer. To provide the highest level of safety for your child, we are required to gather some important, basic information from you before you can leave your child with us at VAC Kids.
Sign In & Out Procedures
Sign In
When you arrive at church, please check your children in before you sit down. There are computer stations in the lobby, at the VAC Kids desk and at the VAC Tots’ desk. This will help relieve congestions when children are dismissed from the service. You can sign all your children in at once. Once you have your children’s nametags printed out, you can put them on each child. This confirms to VAC Kids volunteers that your child is signed in. When the kids are dismissed from the service, children can make their way to the Fellowship Hall.
Check-In at a self check in/out station:
1. Hold finger on finger scanner.
2. Select “Child-In”.
3. Select child(ren) being checked in, select “Next”.
4. Select “Finish”. Nametag(s) will print.
5. Place nametags on children.
6. Take children into service. VAC Kids are dismissed from service.
Sign Out
Take your printed check out slips (printed when you return to the Check in & out station and complete the check-out process) to the child's classroom, where the VAC Kids volunteers will match your photo on the slip and release your child to you or an authorized person shown on the slip. Older siblings (Grade 6 and older) can also pick up children from the classrooms, as long as they are authorized and their photo is on the check out slip. Talk to a VAC Kids volunteer to add other authorized individuals to your family.
Children in Kindergarten & Grade 1 will be available for pick up from the hallway in the lower level, located by the library. As you head from the foyer toward the north parking lot, there is a short set of stairs on your left going down. Follow those stairs and go to the end of the hallway to where you can pick up your child. Children in grade 2-5 are available for pick up at the Fellowship Hall foyer. Parents can authorize their children in Gr 2-5 to check themselves out at the end of the service. Please ask our volunteers at the VAC Kids desk about how to do this.
Check-Out at a self check in/out station:

5. Take Check-Out slip to pick up child. A child can NOT be picked up without a Check-Out slip.
